Company relocation from Ireland to Germany

Relocating a pet food production facility

A specialist company which produces snack products for cats and dogs commissioned us to plan and execute a relocation process for them. One of its Irish-based production facilities should be relocated to Germany.

Optimising the processes obviously had top priority in order to overcome the challenges involved in the tightly timed project schedule. Our experts in the divisions for machine assembly, logistics and export packaging drew up a precise workflow plan for the project, also taking all the trades involved into account. A total of 8 production lines, 6 packaging lines, 15 injection moulding machines as well as various smaller peripheral plants and systems had to be dismantled in Ireland and subsequently relocated to Germany. We were able to implement the complete factory relocation within 10 weeks, also while still adhering to our original plan.

One interesting key figure: A total of 112 HGV transport movements, including various special transport applications, were necessary for this project.
