In addition to the usual everyday business, such as machinery assembly in industrial plants and factories, we are also requested to take on special orders, like transporting a flight simulator. The size of the individual parts of the freight involved meant that transport had to be executed by two articulated lorries for extra-wide goods. Together with the Hess Logistics Department, Hess Assembly took responsibility for all the stations of the internal transport at the departure location and destination as well as all road transportation work.

VBefore the transfer work was commenced, the parts of the sensitive simulator were professionally packaged for transport, by our colleagues from Indupac, in a splash-proof manner. After loading at Frankfurt Airport, the simulator was subsequently stored intermediately in our heavy-items warehouse in Langenfeld securely until further shipment.
